Inner Work means uncovering truth. Your truth.

Hope

I would love to hold you

Be there for you

When you open up

Become vulnerable and defensive and when it’s

difficult to listen

I will listen to you

Without an agenda

And let you grow in your own time.

Believing, humbly

That what you hold true in your heart

Will guide you so much better

Than my thoughts possibly ever could

And with that I will have a lasting and happy patience

for the both of us

And grow just as much

along the way.

Inner work means uncovering truth. Your truth.

This is a love- poem. I wrote it the other day after I was in a debate that pitched my emotional defense big time. It was painful and very scary to be in that place with someone I barely knew and who I trusted enough to get to this point, but then again, barely knew.

The day after, letting things find their place inside of me, I wrote these few lines to get to my own understanding of it and was quite amazed, how the words came together so easily. Writing poetry often reveals my own thought process to me and helps me to understand it better. It amazes me, how there is this endless supply, this state of clarity and direction inside of us at all times. That an emotionally tumultuous event only accelerates it, once we utilise it the right way. Accessing this endless supply is something we can learn.

The poem as well describes the way I work with clients, and it is just as intimate:

In the beginning we barely know each other and our conversation is intended to run deep, it is intended to get deep, or to a certain point, where we can create a shift and by that achieve the desired result. It is quite possibly triggering defensive response somewhere along the way and difficult emotions will show up which hardly ever is a pleasant thing to experience. I am counting on trust and openness on the clients’ side to be in such a vulnerable space- just to let the insight happen that will bring about their own inner clarity and direction, their alignment, needed for their projects, relationships and life. This is the difference between consulting and coaching. I will not tell you what to do, but help you get to the point where you will know and understand it yourself. Where you will see the direction you need to be moving in. Everything is in you, and my work with you is to uncover that.

It is a marvellous and fascinating interaction that as a Coach I get to hold the space for. Direct it to the best of my ability. Just so that I can witness the exponential growth of my client. It is, in a way, not too far from romance, as it is very intimate, yet it is a profoundly professional connection. The intimacy, that humanness that we get back to in such a deep professional conversation teaches us our very power, step by step.

A few thoughts about trust and opening up

What if I truly opened up to the fact that I am lovable exactly as I am right now?

What if I could drop the mind and relax myself into my creative being, each moment along the way, at ease and at will.

What if others would open up to the love I give. What, if others ARE open to the love I give ?

What, if I was able to take action and set my dreams into motion ? Is it really that difficult ? Is it really that much of a big deal to step out of my own way and let myself be seen ?

If I can answer the first question with yes, the answer to the last will have to be yes as well. SelfLove is the ultimate healthy boundary and the only safety that life can ever provide us with - through us.

Everything goes through us. And comes to us when we are ready.

Trust, understood like that, is something we can access by decision and with trust we always step forward, why wouldn’t we ? Life is constantly moving forward, evolving. Only the static, conditioned human mind is able to make it appear otherwise through it’s everyday delusion and confusion.

Clarity and common sense can be at the fingertips of our very experience and they are, once we trust.
